Police the unidentified man was shot on Sunday, Oct. 13, near Stratford Avenue due to a 911 alert of shots fired in the area received around the same time frame, said Bridgeport Police spokesman Terron Jones.

Jones said the man, who was taken to St. Vincent's Medical Center, is not cooperating with police about the events surrounding the shooting, he said.
